In Mensajeros de la Paz we work to achieve a world in which all people, especially those most vulnerable, are assured a dignified life.
In order to achieve our mission, the support of the whole community, Argentine and international, is fundamental.
Mensajeros de la Paz is part of the international network GlobalGiving, a platform that allows to create international communities that with single donations or month to month support projects around the world. For our organisation, the support of each donor means reaching more and better every Argentinean in need.
Our active projects at GlobalGiving
Hogar Colibries
Hogar Colibries is a temporary home for groups of siblings from 6 to 12 years old who, due to different situations of violation of rights, are legally separated from their families. With an on-site capacity of 35 children, the ultimate goal of the group home is the re-unification or adoption of the group.
Hogar San José
Hogar San José is a home for 50 older people over 60 who have found themselves alone and lack the care necessary for daily life. Most of the residents, more than 90% of whom are women, have no other family, and the home provides comprehensive care for the participants by providing physical and psychosocial care.
Support in fires
Together with Fundación Bomberos, the project aims to support volunteer fire brigades and firefighters in Argentina in the face of the multiple fire situations in the country. The project contributes to the purchase of materials and supplies needed by the fire brigades to carry out their work.
Centro La Balsa
Centro La Balsa is an emergency centre for adolescent girls in street situations. Located in Floresta, the center aims to provide tools through workshops and games to the participants to develop their rights. This space seeks to provide comprehensive care for the participants during their stay in the center.
Educational Strengthening
The programme accompanies the educational trajectories of children between 6 and 12. With several locations in Buenos Aires and the surrounding area, the programme aims to strengthen the academic development of the participants through school support (with workbooks) and recreational activities.
